A brief history of the Mercedes-Benz Citan

The Citan started life in 2012 as a result of Mercedes’ desire to retire the Vaneo to be able to keep up with the saturated small panel van market. Mercedes decided to team up with Renault who is in charge of building the van over in their French factory.

At the time, the Citan was the first Mercedes commercial vehicle since the Vito in 1995 and through the Citan,Mercedes have now got themselves a strong foothold in the market with the additions of the Sprinter and the X-Class.

Is the Mercedes Citan a good van to lease?

Oh yes. With class-leading comfort on the inside and a workhorse engine under the bonnet it is the answer to every business’ dreams who want a small local courier in urban environments.

The Citan has a width of 4321mm (L2) to 4705mm (L3), max load length of 1753mm (L2) to 2137mm, and cargo volume of 3.1 cubic metres (L2) to 3.8 cubic metres (L3). The engine inside is a 109 CDI or a 111 CDI engine giving plenty of power and economy.
