The Transit Connect is a small panel van which offers larger space and power than the courier and sits under the standard Transit and Transit Custom. It is an ideal van for small urban courier jobs but has the payload capacity and sturdiness to take on construction site work with ease.
The first edition of the Transit Connect came in 2002 to replace outgoing Escort and Fiesta-based vans and to bring the Connect in line with Ford’s plans of having a van range for all kinds of customers. The Transit Connect is based on the Ford Focus and offers the same economical engines as their passenger cars.
The Transit Connect is one of the rare vans where part sharing isn’t happening - your Ford Transit is really made and designed by Ford.
The current Connect is now in its second generation introduced in 2014 and facelifted in 2019 which means the interior is modern and up to date with the latest comforts and technology.
Available as a panel van or double cab in the van the Connect is versatile. Payload ranges from 579 to 865kg depending on the configuration which makes it generously robust in its capacity and an ideal van to lease for pretty much anyone.
